[audio:http://www.maurydegeofroy.com/Radio/Wolfie-SW4D-07-29-09.mp3]Here’s the recent Monkey on the Lam episode. It bugged out a little during “US V THEM” so that song is abridged (and that’s why I procrastinated so bad on editing the mp3 and putting it up, the rest should be intact.)
[audio:http://www.maurydegeofroy.com/Radio/MOTL-07-22-09.mp3]I wanted to mellow out on my lunch break the other day so I drove up to seven gates to go to a little obscure corner i like to sit and think at sometimes. On my way in, there was a vehicle that, a few months ago, had not been there. The tires were all flat, plates were removed, and it was full of cobwebs. Cars get abandoned all the time, yes, but I didn’t expect to find one on such a high brow part of the island.
I was watching a music video a minute ago and it gave me a bit of a flashback to grade school, when we were shown this video about puberty. A hilarious and somewhat traumatic experience. I’d searched for it online before and failed to find it, but now I have! Am I Normal? Yes! Well, sort of.

I came up with this while I was driving today, I wanted to create a shirt design that used the new WVVY logo but was not exclusively the logo. I’d been thinking about ideas, and then the LCD Soundsystem song “Us V Them” came on with the line “Us V Them Over and Over again” and I just envisioned this group of small people staring up at a giant glom of antennas, intimidated but empowered to press on and attempt to let their voices be heard amongst the din of noise that clogs the airwaves.
So this is what I created, from that idea:

And the back would be like this:
and here’s the mockup of the shirt:
The logo could also very well be used, I suppose, in the context of any low power radio promo, but it was designed specifically to fit the theme of WVVY
I downloaded this while I was waiting for a friend to show up at a movie the other night and started fooling around. Just a quick, first-ever drawing on my iphone. I started thinking about radiohead while making little white lines for the word bubble so…
Oh yeah and apparently it records all the brush strokes so here’s a video:
Yes I know I haven’t put up last week’s yet. I did, however, make time to edit last night’s show, which I’m proud of because of the mostly-smooth transitions and near constant musical flow, something I am just starting to experiment with. Almost every song blended perfectly into the next and my interludes had background noise to take away from the complete silence of my speech.

This is the perfect visual for this song, and all this time I never knew… I found this sort of just fussing around on youtube looking for clark interviews (about his gear – as I plan to start experimenting with music making in the near future)
