It went through a lot of iterations, I won’t post all of them as some of them were scrapped for reasons that are now obvious, but I did like this version that we ended up not using:
It’s fun stuff! I’m excited to see it in print and watch the Festival grow, with any luck.
My brother is creating a camera system and smartphone app that would allow skiers and snowboarders to capture video of themselves from mounted camera systems at ski resorts, and he commissioned me to do some art to represent how the system works. Here they are:
For reasons I won’t go into, this site was never completed. I was fairly happy with the initial layout mockup I did for it, however, so I’ve decided to put the mockup on my site for public viewing.
I’ve taken on duties for some online promotion and poster design for Che’s Lounge, (redesign for their site is in the works) so this is my first poster. Hopefully many more to come:
Come to the show on saturday, and follow @cheslounge on twitter for up to the minute updates!
I changed my copyright information for this site to fall under Creative Commons, so feel free to distribute and share the art, rework it (but not for profit), print it out and poop on it, whatever. My only request is that if you are sharing the work I’ve created, please link back to the site and credit me for the original work.
Drew (my brother) graduated from UMass today, here is a barrage of photos. Feel free to use them on any site, just throw me a link back and a photo credit if you do please. I will update this post with more photos and a couple of moments of video shortly.
Click over on Web and Radio now and you will see the corresponding sections in action. Changes will certainly be made in the future, but I have finally reached a point where I feel comfortable saying that Maury de Geofroy.com is OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED.
Expect changes and updates, of course, but there are no more empty “coming soon” sections.
And please, by all means: comment or send a message with any suggestions you may have for features. I have plenty of ideas of my own, such as adding an “about” section, spreading some more red coloring throughout the rest of the site, and eventually having some sort of shopping cart for art sales, but for now: please enjoy what’s here: and please, by all means, spread the word.
I bought an iPhone in Boston yesterday and I am exploring the lovely world within it. One app I discovered was the free wordpress blogging app, from which I’m typing this very post. This phone is pretty slick, I must confess. For kicks, here’s a photo I took from the roof of the hotel. (if I think of it I’ll try to post photos from the floor of the burlesque expo today. There have been some neat sights but the trip has been overwhelming and I’ve had less time to appreciate the show than I planned for.)
It’s still a work in progress, and I need to tweak some visual elements, add more images, categories, and various other details, but thanks to the glory of WordPress and the wonderful NextGen gallery plugin created by Alex Rabe I’ve easily integrated a gallery into the art section. Go check it out.
